The Giugiaro Sibylla

Dipping into the world of robust ocean diving, we selected a performance silicone for a case that is designed for both the R1/R1-S and X1 razor. The hard-wearing silicone razor travel case received the highest distinction in the annual Product Design, the Red Dot: Best of the Best 2017 awards. The razor travel case is the ideal protection for a Bolin Webb razor. Robust, functional and easy to clean, the case will protect both blade and handle while traveling.

Bolin Webb wanted to develop a razor case that was practical, tactile and visually appealing. There was no case on the market that provided a practical and durable travel solution in a humid environment. Inspiration for products is always looked for in other walks of life. For the razor case, it was the protective rubber shoes worn by Derrick as a child when on holiday by the sea shore. The use of silicone for the razor case was a natural choice in this instance, and the product is enhanced with small but significant design features that both add to its utility and to its appeal.

This Thursday sees the start of the 88th Geneva Motor Show where the new Giugiaro Sibylla will be showcased for the first time. Reminiscent of the contours of our R1 Razor Collection, the sleek clean lines have been influenced by classic models from the 1960s and 1970s with a front canopy and rear gullwing doors a direct nod to the Chevrolet Testudo, which Giugiaro designed back in 1963.
