The thinking behind the wash bag
Many wash bags are made of stitched leather or canvas, or a synthetic textile, which can absorb moisture and be difficult to keep clean. And their shape can frustrate when you rummage around looking for that something hiding in the bottom or corner of your bag. We wanted to find something more sensible.
We started with the material. Silicone offers a smooth, tactile surface that is water repellent and easy to wipe down, making it ideal for bathrooms, gym bags and weekends away. Its durability also allows the bag to maintain its structure and feel consistent over time.
The bag opens as a tray, allowing easy and clear access to everything inside - nothing lurking in a dark corner. Inside, there is a removable pouch that acts as a divider and a storage solution. There is plenty of room for all your grooming essentials including an electric toothbrush, deodorant, shaving cream and a Bolin Webb razor and travel case.
Good design is never far from Bolin Webb's thinking: the bag has a calm, sculpted form with enough structure to hold its shape when in use. A textured underside gives natural grip and lifts the bag slightly from wet surfaces. These details are subtle but purposeful.
This wash bag is the result of a considered development process informed by user needs and by our broader design principles. It offers practical capacity without unnecessary bulk, a refined exterior without fragility, and a layout that simply works.
