Following our 10th anniversary in 2021, Bolin Webb is celebrating a new decade by confirming its involvement with Great British Brands 2022, the WE CAN BE HEROES edition.
Great British Brands is the only annual print and online publication dedicated to supporting and celebrating Britain’s most prestigious labels and has a growing global reputation as the ultimate bible for British excellence.
Sitting alongside iconic names from Vivienne Westwood and Rolls Royce to Barbour, MUSTO and John Smedley, Bolin Webb are thrilled to be part of the esteemed title and be included amongst such a distinguished line up of quintessential brands.
Now in its seventh year, Great British Brands is more important than ever and this year, they are celebrating their brands’ heroic resilience, adaptability and capacity for leadership -an edition Bolin Webb are honoured to be involved with.
Bolin Webb first launched its razors in London in May 2011. The young brand brought to the world a unique selection of grooming tools that were design-led for handling and performance. Capturing the same bold colours and evocative emotion found in automotive design, Bolin Webb has since extended its range through a collection of razors and accessories for shaving.
As a British brand, the drive was always to leverage the best of British product design and manufacturing. Made to the highest performance standards, production continues in Britain, the centre of luxury automotive competence and capability. Razor-filled paint racks can be seen in production between Rolls Royce trim and McLaren brake callipers.
Bolin Webb continued its global journey through the next ten years, working with retailers from San Francisco to Shanghai, selling in some of the best luxury and concept stores in the world. On their way, the Bolin Webb brand has collected several design and brand awards, taking accolades from the prestigious Red Dot award in Germany to GQ Best Razor, to name but two.
To mark its 10-year anniversary in 2021, Bolin Webb launched the special edition R1 British Racing Green Razor set – celebrating too Britain’s automotive heritage. 2021 also saw the launch of Bolin Webb’s first collaboration razor, the R1 Mr Slowboy. The classic R1 top panel used as a canvas for “The Man From Mayfair” - a character illustration by London-based Chinese artist Mr Slowboy.
The last two years have given many a new perspective on their daily shaving routine. Changes to work and social patterns made us appreciate more the pleasure of a clean shave or a neatly trimmed beard, and the feeling or admiration of great design. Bolin Webb has always been drawn to the saying ‘Enjoy the shave’ - creating razors that bring pleasure to routine. So, in 2022 and beyond, Bolin Webb expects to encourage more men to enjoy their shave and bring a part of design excellence into their morning routine.
