"How much should a razor weigh?". There's no right answer to the question. We each have our preferences - some will like light and others heavy. It's down to the individual.
Some shavers expect more weight when investing in, and then using, a premium razor. A heavier razor feels more substantial in the hand, and the extra weight can help to give a closer shave.
In contrast, a man might find a lighter razor easier to manoeuvre, especially across the curve of the chin and jaw line.
There's not much more to it than that. Having said that, Bolin Webb razors have always been designed with handling and balance in mind. We let our customers decide which of our models they prefer.
We offer a choice from the X1 razor (54gm) to the lighter Generation razor (33gm). Both are fitted with a Gillette Fusion5 Proglide blade. Our R1 razor fitted with the Gillette Mach3 blade sits in the middle (43gm).
